Following the success of the previous My Hero Academia movies, World Heroes’ Mission has earned a huge amount of money.

According to the latest statistics from the Mainichi Shimbun’s Mantan Web project, the film My Hero Academia : World Heroes’ Mission has officially rolled landmark 310 million yen (approximately 64.5 billion) in the first day of departure screening, equivalent to about 240,000 tickets.

The first day. This project has earned 229.2% more than the previous project – My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, did on the first day of release. My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, the last film, opened in Japan in December 2019 and grossed 422.5 million yen (nearly 87.9 billion at current exchange rates) in 3 years.

In the end, the film’s total gross was 1.79 billion yen (372.4 billion at current exchange rates). In addition, the series’ first project, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, grossed 1.72 billion yen after it hit theaters in July 2018.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is very likely to become the franchise’s highest-grossing film with such great appeal. This is not surprising when the movie this time has a unique and attractive plot and an effective way of promotion.

My Hero Academia The Movie: World Heroes’ Mission revolves around a mysterious organization led by Flect Turn that has vowed to destroy the entire world. They put bombs scattered everywhere.

To prevent the worst scenario from happening, the heroes split up to find and neutralize the bomb and track down the organization of Flect Turn. While on a mission, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki meet Rody, a boy who lives in a mobile home in Odeon. Together, they investigate the Flect Turn and enter the fierce battle to protect the world from the evil Flect Turn.

In World Heroes Mission, it was author Kohei Hoshikori who directly supervised the script and character design. Not only that, moviegoers who go to the cinema will have the opportunity to receive a special manga called “Vol. World Heroes” created by the author himself with a limited number of manga.

After its release, My Hero Academia The Movie: World Heroes’ Mission will be put on the Netflix platform in early 2022 to serve worldwide audiences.
